The next partnership meeting in the framework of the REVITAL I project took place on 18 June 2020. In a consultation with all partners, the topic was to discuss the activities carried out and to start the fieldwork.
All partners reported that, with minor delays, but all of them are slowly completing the relevant procurement procedures, aggregating the archived data collected and are now working entirely on launching the fieldwork.
With the partial opening of the borders, it became possible to travel to Solotvyno. Judit Jevcsák, Deputy Director of the Tisza EGTC, informed the partners that all permits are available to start the field work, the relevant authorities know about the project and the planned works. It is necessary that an accurate list of incoming experts and equipment to be imported be sent to the border guard and customs as soon as possible for a smooth crossing.
The experts of Geogold Kft would like to implement the field work between June 24-28, 2020. The expert work with the involvement of the staff of the University of Miskolc and the Technical University of Košice is expected to start in July. The partners agreed that when they all arrive in Solotvyno and start working on the specific site, they would also hold the public information forum and personal partnership meeting envisaged in the project. In the meantime, there is constant contact and communication in the usual ways, via e-mail and Skype.
Due to the epidemic situation, there was a significant delay in the project schedule, so the partners agreed to request an extension of the project implementation period from the Joint Technical Secretariat.
