The fourth skype meeting of the REVITAl I project took place on 27 April 2020. A total of 16 people were present virtually at the meeting. Thanks to the successful public procurement, external experts were already able to join the discussion.
Unfortunately, due to the border lock introduced in connection with the epidemic situation, we are still unable to start physical work. Thus, partners and experts shared their achievements in collecting archival data. Everyone has managed to take significant steps in this area. The Institute of Geology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences has made available a number of materials on all research on Mineslatin from Soviet times to the present day. We also managed to obtain satellite and other important maps, the translation of which into Hungarian was undertaken by the Tisza EGTC.
The Solotvyno City Hall also shared an important map with the partners and took significant steps in obtaining local permits, informing the public, and consulting with the Mining Directorate.
Unfortunately, access to the mining area is still subject to a ministerial permit, which will be applied for jointly by the Tisza EGTC, as the lead partner, and the Solotvyno City Hall, based on the information compiled by the expert team of Geogold Kft. The staff of the University of Miskolc has compiled a specific division of tasks for each partner, which includes the urgent work to be performed before physical work. All project-related working materials are available to all partners on a specially designed web interface.
To close the two-hour meeting, the partners agreed to hold the next wide-ranging partnership meeting in June 2020. Experts hold regular discussions once a week on professional issues that anyone has the opportunity to join.
