Love in a shoebox from the Boundless Help Foundation

Once again, the team of the Rolling Kids Foundation visited the Bereg region to continue their shoebox campaign, which provides gifts to thousands of children in the Carpathian Basin. The Foundation has launched collections in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, resulting in more than 3,500 packages. The team first visited the kindergarten of Balazser, where they were waiting for them. The children were not only presented with individual gifts, but also with foosball tables, which the kindergartners had won in the Foundation’s drawing competition. The Berehovo based institution has been a partner of the Rolling Kids Foundation since its establishment and was one of the first to build a rolling kids track linked to the organisation. János Mester, the founder of the Rolling Kids Foundation, said that all their actions are based on cooperation, as their appeal has moved many communities, including the Tisza EGTC, whose director Andrea Szabóné Cap accompanied and helped them this time. The Protestant Hungarian community in Zurich, whose caretaker András Szántó and his wife Teca Szántó-Molnár personally participated in the collection of the boxes. Our foundation will continue to collect as much as possible in Western Europe in order to return in the spring and involve as many schools as possible in our road safety programme – said János Mester. Following the stop in Berehove, the donors also visited Muzsijeve, Benya and Badalovo, and then visited the Samuel Foundation to hand over their boxes. Like the Rolling Kids Foundation, the Hungarians in Switzerland are also committed to continuing to support the people of Transcarpathia.
